About this space

This apartment has an ideal location next to Plaza de la Merced. You can visit all the monuments, museums, restaurants, and the beach on foot. It has just been renovated while respecting the materials and typical construction of Málaga’s historic center, offering an authentic and local architecture, as well as a modern and efficient one. The combination of tradition and modernity makes it a pleasant and charming space.
 
The apartment is a spacious open-plan area with natural light from three typical Andalusian balconies and cozy, original artificial lighting for nighttime.

The space is divided into three areas: a bedroom (150 by 190cm queen size bed) with a balcony, wardrobe, and bedside table; a living-dining area; and a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee machine, etc.). There is also a washing machine and drying rack for longer stays.

The bathroom has a shower measuring 80cm by 135cm with a waterfall and faucet, a large 100cm sink, a hairdryer, toilet paper, as well as shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner.

The apartment also includes cleaning products for those who wish to use them during their stay, an iron and ironing board, shower and beach towels, and basic kitchen essentials (salt, pepper, oregano, tea, coffee, sugar, etc.).
 

Luisa, the apartment owner and host, will welcome you in person unless you arrive late or for any other exceptional circumstances, in which case we will provide all information for a smooth self-checkin.

Party and pets are not allowed, sorry.

Checkin 

We enjoy receiving our guests personally, showing them the property and how things work at the apartment as well as offering any information they may need in regards to their staying in Malaga and Andalucia. Luisa will meet you at the apartment for your checkin and assist you during your stay if needed. Every guest must provide their valid passport and sign the travellers’ document at their arrival. Our checkin regular times are 4-11pm, nevertheless we try to be flexible and offer early or late checkins and checkout when possible, please ask Luisa about it as soon as you know.

Staying 

During your time at the apartment, if you have any problem please get in touch with your host by text or phone. We can also provide transport advice or suggestions about where to go, what is worth visiting or the nicest local events in such an amusing city.

Checkout 

Please leave your 2 sets of keys on the dining table and ensure the door is properly closed behind you. The host or cleaning service will check everything is OK with the apartment after you have left. Our regular checkout time is 11am. Should you need a late checkin or luggage storage for longer, please let us know. We try to be flexible to make your journey easier when possible.

Free parking is available on the same street as the apartment and nearby streets. The white lines indicate the areas where parking is allowed. On the other hand, the yellow continuous and dashed lines indicate where parking is prohibited.

The apartment is located in a quiet and green residential neighborhood, with little traffic and free parking available on nearby streets. Just a 10-minute walk from the beach, it offers easy access to the main tourist attractions in the center of Málaga. The Pompidou Museum and the Muelle Uno and Muelle Dos area, also known as El Palmeral, are a 15-minute walk away. Plaza de la Marina, the famous Calle Larios, the Cathedral, and the Picasso Museum are a 20-25 minute walk.

In the La Malagueta neighborhood and the promenade, right below the apartment, you’ll find numerous bars, restaurants, cafes, and shops. The city center offers even more shopping and dining options.

It is recommended to park the car and get around on foot, as everything is within a reasonable walking distance. A taxi from the center, near the Cathedral, costs around 5-7 euros. The bus takes 10 minutes to the center (lines 3, 11, 32, 33, 34, 35) and the ticket costs 1.40 euros each way.

  • SuperSol: Smaller supermarket but with a wide variety of brands. Located at Calle Cervantes, 5 and Av. del Pintor Joaquín Sorolla, 7. Hours: 9:00-21:30, closed Sundays.
  • Chinese Supermarket: Always open, located at Paseo de Sancha, 59. Hours: 9:00-22:00, every day.

Cafes:

  • La Camperia Malaguita: Known for its good sandwiches. Located at Paseo de Sancha, 10. Hours: 8:00-24:30, closed Sundays.
  • O’ Mamma Mia: Offers a quiet back terrace and weekday breakfasts. Located at Av. Príes, 13. Hours: 8:00-24:00, every day.
  • La Canasta Bakery, Cafetería & Restaurante: Good food with healthy options, near the Pompidou Museum, at Av. de Cánovas del Castillo, 2 – Muelle Uno. Hours: 8:00-24:00, every day.

Bakeries:

  • Gluten Free Bakery and Pastry Shop Nata & Chocolate: Offers sweets, empanadas, and bread for celiacs and the general public. Bread sells out early every morning. Located at Paseo de Sancha, 10. Hours: 9:30–14:30 every day; 17:00–20:00 Monday to Friday.
  • Panificadora Reding: Traditional bread. Located at Paseo Reding, 23, near the Plaza de Toros. Hours: 7:00-21:00; 8:00-15:00 on Sundays.
  • Confitería Aparicio: Traditional sweets. Located at Paseo Reding, 16. Hours: 10:00–14:00 and 17:00–20:00, every day.

Iconic Málaga Restaurants:

  • Muelle Uno and Muelle Dos: Offer a variety of restaurants for all tastes and budgets, from Burger King and Hard Rock Cafe to Italian and traditional Spanish restaurants like La Sureña and Gorki, all with stunning views of the sea, port, Alcazaba, and Cathedral. Located a 2-minute walk from the apartment.
  • Restaurante José Carlos García: Awarded a Michelin star, it offers an exceptional culinary experience. Also located in Muelle Uno, Puerto de Málaga, Plaza de la Capilla, 1.
  • Bodega Bar El Pimpi: Located at Calle Granada, 62, in the historic center, very close to the Picasso Museum, the Alcazaba, and the Roman Theater. It is famous for its “Málaga Dulce” wine.
  • Los Gatos: Located at Plaza de Uncibay, 9, 29008. Known for its traditional Spanish tapas and well-served beer.
  • El Tintero: Located at Avenida Salvador Allende 340, 29017, Málaga Este, on the Paseo Marítimo. Famous for its original way of serving, showing fish dishes to customers and allowing them to choose what they like best. Ideal for enjoying Málaga fried fish and sardine skewers in the traditional style of the area. They also serve anchovies, squid, small squid, chopitos, red mullet, hake, clams, razor clams, prawns, mussels, fine shells, roe, as well as salads and grilled vegetables.
